Data Analyst (Insurance Sector)

Data Analyst | Insurance Sector | Brussels ( Permanent )For a growing organisation within the insurance and financial services sector, we are looking for a Data Analyst to strengthen their data team.In this role, you'll work with data from different sources and turn it into clear, actionable insights that support both strategic decisions and day-to-day business operations. You'll combine hands-on data analysis with reporting, visualisation and close collaboration with business and IT stakeholders.Your responsibilities

• Collect, prepare and analyse data from different internal and external sources
• Clean and validate datasets while keeping a strong focus on data quality
• Identify trends, patterns and opportunities through data analysis
• Build and maintain dashboards, reports and visualisations
• Translate business questions into meaningful data insights
• Work closely with business, IT and operational teams to understand their reporting and analytical needs
• Support ad hoc analyses and data-driven decision-making
• Contribute to improving reporting processes, data quality and analytical capabilities
• Stay up to date with new tools and developments within Data & AnalyticsYour profile
• Experience in Data Analysis, BI, Reporting or a similar role
• Strong knowledge of SQL
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau or similar BI tools
• Knowledge of Python or R is a strong plus
• Good understanding of data modelling and data warehousing
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Able to translate complex data into clear insights for non-technical stakeholders
• Proactive, structured and comfortable working independently
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or a related field
• Professional level of English and fluent in either Dutch or FrenchWhat's offered
