Your profile as Data Management Manager

Within a data-driven organization, the Data Management team plays a key role in structuring and managing company data. The team ensures data quality, security, and accessibility, and transforms data into actionable insights through reports and dashboards. These insights enable various departments to make informed, data-based decisions.Your ResponsibilitiesAs the lead of the Data Management team, you are responsible for both the operational management and the strategic evolution of the team.Your responsibilities include:

  • Leading and coordinating the Data Management team
  • Collaborating closely with external partners responsible for data collection
  • Ensuring the quality and consistency of available data
  • Monitoring and optimizing ETL processes and data models
  • Delivering scalable and future-proof data solutions
  • Automating data transformation processes
  • Anticipating changes in data models and assessing their impact
  • Managing data access to ensure confidentiality and security
  • Prioritizing business needs and translating them into effective data solutionsKey Activities
  • Defining and managing team priorities
  • Further developing the data architecture
  • Supporting migration and modernization initiatives of existing tools and systems
  • Gathering and analyzing business requirements with various stakeholders
  • Designing, developing, and maintaining ETL processes

  • Strong expertise in data architecture
  • Solid experience with SQL, SAS, and Python (additional tools are a plus)
  • Ability to identify and resolve data-related issues
  • Experience in documenting and sharing knowledgeSkills
  • Leadership skills with the ability to guide and motivate a team
  • Strong analytical mindset, capable of translating business needs into data solutions
  • Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Fluency in either English, Dutch, or French (additional languages are a plus)
  • Well-organized, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Proactive, autonomous, and solution-oriented
  • Strong team player with a hands-on approachExperience
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT, mathematics, engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in data engineering or data management
